Chapter 137
A tree branch snapped far off and landed with a thud on the ground. Dead bodies everywhere, the smell of blood nauseating yet a sight to behold for Deborah as she flew around the blood bath arena searching- searching for them.
The side of her lips were bleeding, and there was a scary, mad glint spamming in her eyes, as she fugutively glanced around, swaying past trees, flying above bodies.
“Ha!” She screamed in shock when something launched at her from below, and she was sent flying down.
She grunted as she rolled on the ground, her once snow white tails which had been matted with dust, rolling alongside her body, picking up more dirt than previously.
Hearing a snarl, accompanied by a deep throaty growl, she opened her eyes, before sitting up in a flash, snapping her head to and fro.
There were several werewolves, counting to 12 or more surrounded around her like a large circle. One had a scar stretched out from his predatory eyes down to his lips. They had all shifted— the ones she hadn’t ripped to pieces yet.
Before she could move, they pounced on her all at once. Shrill screams and gnarls echoed into the night. After the sounds of breaking bones and ripping noises had died down, Alpha Cardin stepped in on cue, using the sharp edge of the car which had smashed earlier to tear the unconscious Fox’s tails off her body.
Beta Royce reappeared. There was a large cut at the side of his neck which was slowly healing, evident that he had almost lost his head in a fight, but he persistent still despite Cardin’s protest to help him cut the tails.
They had killed the Kitsune.
“What do we do now.” Asked a pack warrior, who hadn’t shifted yet, but had a smouldering bloody hole in his chest.
The smell of blood was so unbearable that Alpha Cardin didn’t reply at once, and beckoned the rest to follow him. There were a few men, but most of them were in their wolf form, some of them… too wounded to have shifted.
Soon Alpha Cardin was surrounded as he explained.
“I lost my phone during the sudden attack, but we’re all heading to Ruby Stone’s pack. All of us,” he stared at everyone with narrowed eyes “Will shift p>
There were murmurs of protest, but Royce shut them up with a glare.
“Every single car’s been turned to a pile of rubble, so except you want to keep walking like a person, and probably run into another fox, then be my guest.” He didn’t wait before he shifted into a glorious 3 feet black wolf with red patches around the lower region and head, his eyes, crimson red soaked in yellow.
He began to run in a particular direction, not waiting for Royce who shfited as well before running after him.
His men followed after him— after shifting themselves.
At Ruby Stone’s, Koan was walking down cold stone steps with Alpha Henry by his side and Nancy in his arms.
Upstairs, Alpha Henry’s family had been put in a room, heavily guarded. Heavily as in, the pack warriors from Dark Risers’s pack, Silver Moon’s pack, Ruby Stone’s pack, Shadow Slayer’s pack and Crescent Moon’s pack had surrounded the entire Alpha’s domain, some warriors stretching out to protect the pack members by standing guard at the boundaries between Ruby Stone’s and other packs.
There were still some pack warriors left in their respective packs just Incase their people were in danger, since most Alphas weren’t present in their domain presently.
Some wounded ones were healing, being tended to by the pack doctors.
Blood moon was yet to arrive, and Dark Risers’s Alpha was yet to be present as well, but Alpha Joseph clearly understood and didn’t bother calling to confront him about his tardiness.
Koan had seen Luna Angela and her snobbish daughter and had hated them at first sight. He was usually grouchy, and didn’t like a lot of people, but Koan wasn’t one to hate someone at first sight.
This was the first time.
It so happens that he was mad at them. They were the reason Nancy was this way. He was also partly at fault, but Nancy wouldn’t have grown in such a terrible home if Alpha Henry hadn’t remarried such a bitch.
She wouldn’t have had a mentality break down if Alpha Henry hadn’t expected more from her even though she had been giving it her all.
He glanced down at the sleeping beauty before him.
They did this. They ruined his mate.
His face turned pale and his eyes softened. He hadn’t even realized that they were standing before a dungeon cell, and Henry had been looking at the two with a curious gaze, shock evdient in his eyes, wondering at the soft spot Koan had for his daughter.
Koan sighed, and glanced away, feeling guilty.
He had let his pride take over. He hadn’t listened to her, he hadn’t accepted in the first place. He made her like this too. And now his Nancy was gone— he just hoped it wasn’t forever.
When he realized they had reached their destination, he glanced up, his soft expression earlier hardening, the glaciers in his eyes returning like a brewing storm.
“This is the errr… the most reliable cell we have in our dungeon so far… ” He explained, rubbing the back of his beck awkwardly. He had Koan had met a few times, and he knew his reputation. He was a loner, and he didn’t socialize. But why did it feel like he hated him?
They had come down here because Koan had made it know that Nancy had been in the Kitsunes captivity in a while, and well… she had tried to kill them, so she wasn’t in her right senses anymore.
She was unconscious now, but they knew she’d try something stupid when she was conscious, so Alpha Joseph suggested they’d lock her up, at least until they get to the bottom of whatever chaos the Kitsunes had created.
So here they were, 7 feet underground with Koan getting into the dungeon, his hot gaze fixed on Alpha Henry as he locked them in solemnly.
A/N: There will be a daily update of one Chapter from now on. ( There will be bonus Chapters) I’m not planning to write a ridiculously long book, and I’m planning not planning to end the book sooner. (◍•ᴗ p>
