Chapter 18
“Isn’t this the OTHER SIDE”. Naomi calmly asked the taxi driver who was a Werewolf.
She hadn’t seen any part of this side but she had heard so much about the place from her fellow Omegas back in the kitchen.
The taxi driver didn’t turn but answered patiently.
“You said ’out of town’ miss. This is the next town which happens to be after the last one at the pack just after Dark Risers’s Academy. That’s why there’s a variety of humans and werewolves at the school because it’s in between the werewolf territory and the human land p>
Naomi thought. ’Could he have come here p>
She was about to tell the taxi driver to go back but she froze when she saw a familiar black haired teenage boy getting into a car with a blonde who looked like she belonged on the streets.
Her eyes darkened at the flirty smile they threw at each other as they got in.
Aunt Marcy was worried to death about his whereabouts and he was intent on going after girls and it’s been barely a day here in the pack.
“Mr., Please follow that taxi…the red one please”. Naomi said, pointing at a red taxi who was took a North-west wing.
The taxi driver dutifully nodded and followed the taxi.
So far the only werewolves present in the human town was the taxi driver, Naomi, Daniel and the belle blonde.
In the other taxi, Daniel glanced at his phone to see 35 missed calls from Aunt Marcy and an unknown number which he hadn’t saved.
He planned on sending a text to his aunt to let him know he was safe but when the blonde turned and announced their arrival, he placed his phone in his pocket and looked out the window with interest and curiosity flashing in his eyes.
He took everything in.
It was a club. It had about three floors and a synthetic black colored roof blended with bright obsidian white.
The sign ’6_9 Night out club’ shone in bright neon lights causing him to blink several times to adjust to the colors.
There was a long queue lined up at the entrance of the building, a bouncer at the door, holding up a long list which he stared at with a stony face.
His expression was so cold, the aura exuding from him was hard not to notice by the queue who maintained orderliness amongst themselves to avoid a blow in the face or a punch to the guts.
“Come on”. The blonde urged him, grabbing his arms and linking her hand through it.
He reluctantly followed her, noticing the eyes of everyone on the queue on them as she bodly led them towards the Stony faced bouncer.
“What do you think you’re doing”. He shout-whispered when he noticed she was cutting through the line, making her way to the entrance without standing with them.
To his surprise, the bouncer only took one glance at her face and let her in, eyeing him suspiciously.
“He’s with me Rico. A friend of mine”. She hurriedly explained when the bouncer barred the way on spotting him. He let them through after a while of scrutinizing him and shut the door after them.
They had to go through a narrow room before heading to the main clubhouse.
“Why can’t we just go clubbing back at the pack and.. how come they let you in without an Invitation p>
“We can discuss everything over a drink. By the way, you’re buying the first shot”. She bit her lower lip and winked at him.
Resisting the urge to bite her lips, he followed her into the main clubhouse.
“I don’t mind the fact that you’re actually clubbing in a restricted area. But the fact that, you left your mate hanging to actually hang out with this sl*t Kelvin suddenly said, his tone sounding really disappointing.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m just having fun”. Daniel stated, his eyes moving across the club. He took In the crowd of people dancing (all humans). Some were relishing the moment, stuffing their faces with food. The bar was filled as well.
As they moved past the dance floor, sauntering past different people, his sharp senses picked up scents of different perfumes and sweat mixed with love juices, he noticed not everyone was ’just’ dancing on the dance floor.
The entire clubhouse was pitch dark but for the disco ball which stood solely as the only light source in the dark room, throwing shades of different colors around the room.
His sharp eyesight let him see through though but didn’t prevent people from bumping into him once in a while.
“Come on”. The blonde said again, clearly in a good mood as she dragged him into the bar. “Let’s get drunk p>
“Okay”. He said, half-amused at her cheerful mood. “Hey. I don’t even know your name p>
She turned back and their eyes locked.
“Kiara”. She answered, turning away.
He caught sight of a woman trapped against the wall by a man who crawled down her body, his lips closed over her naked breasts.
Her lips was parted In ecstacy, her head thrown back on the wall as those sharp nails of hers caressed his mass of brown thick hair.
His gaze lingered on them till the woman looked up and their eyes locked. She suddenly smiled at him, her hand slowly moving to her other breasts to fondle her hardened nipple soaked with the man’s juices. Desire and lust were purely written in her eyes.
He looked away when he realized he was staring for too long and had been bumping into people.
A woman suddenly screamed and ran past him, hitting his shoulder in the process.
He turned to see big men, twice his size, dressed in black, run after her and grab her by her arms and legs before she could escape.
A typical scenario. Only a few on-lookers stared as they took away and resumed partying.
Kiara barely turned to glance at the woman.
They finally made it to the bar and got to sit at the counter.
It wasn’t a surprise Naomi gained access into the club. The hard-hearted bouncer at the entrance could not resist her domicile features and pitiful expressions especially when she had mentioned finding her little brother. The cute little mask she had on made her huge eyes look very wistful and heart breaking.
Though one thing he couldn’t assure himself was her leaving the club in one piece. She looked like she didn’t even belong there and had never seen the headlights of a club before.
She literally stood out of place such that she gained curious stares from several people in the clubhouse who wondered what she was up to.
Some let her be but apparently some couldn’t just resist her innocence.
