“Louis” Naomi called out to her fox, her voice a hushed whisper as she closed her eyes in defeat. “I can’t do this alone. I need you to work with me here. We only have a few minutes before sunrise p>
“You know we cannot do this without your mate, and yet you still came out here. This is your first time. Shifting without his prescence is almost impossible. I’m sorry Naomi.” She sounded very apologetic.
“Your highness… ” Axle yelled In fright when Naomi dropped to her knees, staring into space.
“What’s going on. Why hasn’t she shifted yet?” Brittany asked, worriedly glancing down to her friends.
“It’s been more than one hour now.” Cardin grumpily complained, but he was a bit worried.

Everyone exchanged grave looks.
“I don’t think he’s willing to come.” Talia sadly shook her head.
“How could Daniel do this?” Nancy asked in an angry voice, eyes welling up with tears of rage and frustration.

Everyone turned, Including the ones standing atop the valley and Naomi’s face lit up immediately.

Everyone parted, watching with mouths wide open as Daniel raced up the valley, barefooted.
“I knew he’d come around.” Barton claimed.

As Daniel climbed up, Naomi’s hand clenched and unclenched around her dress as she stared at him apprehensively.
“Why… ar.. are y.. you… h… here” she stammered, and her heart stopped beating for a moment as he got closer to where she stood fidgeting, a smile on his face which caused her legs to turn to jelly. If he hadn’t grabbed her hands Into his, she was sure she’d fall off the top by now.

Naomi burst into tears and glanced down to the ground, her hand still buried in his, her shoulders racking and trembling at the effort of her tears.
Barton and the rest exchanged glances, yet they all kept mute, waiting for what would happen.
“Why are you crying?” He softly asked. He didn’t wipe her tears or tilt her chin up to look at her, he just wanted to know why she was crying. He could feel her guilt, and he wanted to know what she was guilty for.
“I… ” Her lips trembled as she glanced up to meet with his eyes. “I never meant to hurt you p>
Daniel smiled again, tears flowing down his cheeks.
“But you did. You never meant to, but you knew I’d be hurt if you did, and you did. You hurt me, Naomi p>
She glanced down again, her hands turning to fists in his grip, tears dropping to the ground.
“I’m s.. sorry” She stammered due to the uncontrollable emotions she felt all at once. She sobbed louder and Daniel felt his heart shatter. “I’m. So. So. So. Sorry.” She glanced up at him again.
Axle and Acella exchanged glances.

They warily turned to the couple, but they dared not interrupt them.

As they slowly parted, their eyes simultaneously peeling open to share a gaze, he whispered with a groan.

She suddenly blushed and quickly turned away from him, drawing a stray strand of hair behind her ear. He grinned behind her, slowly raking his eyes over her body.
“Your highness.” Acella persistently called; when she was sure she wouldn’t sound rude and intruding.
Naomi blinked before her eyes widened. She had almost completely forgot the reason she was here.
“What if I still can’t do it?” She turned to Daniel who stood right behind her, like her support, her anchor.

“Then I wasted my time coming out here.” He grinned and folded his arms. “You better prove me wrong p>
She sighed and turned away, closing her eyes and redoing the same procedure Acella had taught her.
Koan joined the rest, and before anyone could say a word, he pulled Nancy in by the waist and crashed his lips against hers, titling his head the other way to get full access to her sweet mouth.
It was so unexpected that Nancy was left slightly panting when he pulled away.
“I missed you.” He said and she managed a confused smile at him, and like it was a natural occurrence, their hands entwined.
“Now I’m thinking about Royce again.” Brittany groaned, dropping her head against Barton’s who lovingly wrapped his arms around her like she was his little sister.”Can you guys stop throwing dog poop at me p>
Koan actually chuckled along with the rest.
“I can’t wait to head back home today. I miss Jephthah already.” Talia whispered to Brittany and Nancy who bashfully smiled at her while she blushed when she realized what she said.
Cardin turned to her, and a look of hurt flashed across his eyes. His gaze was so intently fixed on Talia who hadn’t even turned to him that he didn’t notice Hakura staring at him, noting the hurt look that flashed across his eyes.
