“What is this??” An elder harshly demanded, almost coughing up blood. “What do you mean p>
“If it was any harder for you to comprehend earlier, then I’ll make it clear to you,” He turned to the crowd with those dark Intimidating eyes of his. and everyone here, that she is my sister. Naomi is my sister. She’s the rightful royal ruler of the Kitsunes, and she is his mate.” He was referring to Daniel this time.
“You can’t possibly believe all she must have you told you.” Another said accusingly, and the two ears, standing tall at the tip of Naomi’s head fell at their words. Her heart clenched like a crumpled piece of paper hearing the doubts in their voice and she feared she might not take it any longer and burst into tears.
“She and her kind and the ones who even started all these ruckus that almost wiped us all out of existence. The Kitsunes and Werewolves have been enemies for so many decades… ”
“Why?” Naomi suddenly asked, turning to face the elders and Shamans.
The elder who said this turned speechless before he finally found the audacity to speak since before her aura, he was like a little dog she could trample on.

“Why?” She stepped close. “Why are these two species enemies? Do you have a reason… ”
He turned speechless again before he starts stuttering.
“Our generations have… ”
She smirked bitterly.
“The Kitsunes are willing to sign a treaty with us all and let peace reign between us once and for all… ”
“Us?” An elder began but Koan glared disdainfully at him.
“They think we are a threat… just as we do.” Koan explained. “If we can sign this treaty and call a permanent truce between them, and show them we are ready to make peace, there won’t be any more troubles… ”
“Can we trust her… ” The previous elder who had growled at her spoke up before his gaze moved to Axle. “Can we trust them? Alpha Koan, with all due respect, we acknowledge you as a full blooded Alpha of Crescent Moon’s pack, and if truly, you are a hybrid as you claim, then we have no choice but to put you in the category of people.. ” He turned to Naomi. “.. who we can’t trust p>
“You can’t do this!” Talia suddenly growled, feeling as though the elders were taking matters into their own hands.
“We all risked out lives to save your sorry a*ses, and now you won’t make peace with them? Do you want to die?” Hakura snapped at them, a cool expression on her face.
The elder lowered his chin before scrutinizing her with his dark gaze.
“You should be lucky we were able to even let you grace this event with your prescence, so I’d advise you to keep your mouth shut during matters like this, Princess.” He called with mock humor.
“An event which I planned.” John abruptly spoke up. “This was not how I thought it’d turn out p>
“Everything was going fine until she showed up,” Naomi swallowed and Daniel’s eyes showed shades of blue swirling fiercely in them as he restrained himself.
Ripping heads out In front of little children was not his idea of taking care of things now.
“Fine. We can sign the stupid treaty, but she has to go back where ever she came from… Princess or not, she doesn’t belong here p>
Koan’s eyes darkened.
“Who said anything about leaving? Are you forgetting she’s my mate? Or do I mark it to your foreheads with my claws?” Daniel threatened.
Surprisingly, Marcy spoke up.
“Let her mate decide if she should stay or not,” Everyone turned to her before Naomi slowly shifted back to her normal form, an appreciative smile on her face. “Before we even found out she was a Kitsune, she has been living with us for more than two decades, and I can vouch for her. She would never hurt a fly. Kitsune or not p>
“Thank you, Aunt Marcy.” Naomi whispered with a smile, her lips trembling as she held back her tears of joy p>
Daniel turned to the elders who were visibly shaking with anger, about to reprimand them, but someone beat it to him first
“You heard her… ” The elders turn to Alpha Joseph who had been sitting at the head chair, waiting for the right time to talk. “Alpha Daniel makes the final decision… ”
“But… ”
“And that’s that,” The elders reluctantly start sitting down one after the other. “If you don’t feel comfortable with them around, then maybe it is you who should leave and join the rogues p>
The elders burned with rage when Hakura snickered at them.
Alpha Joseph turned to Naomi and smiled.
“Maybe it’s not a bad idea to sign a peace treaty with them… ” He turned to the crowd. “We have never had a tangible reason to even turn them to our enemies. I think it will be much better to have a good reason to make peace with them, don’t you think p>
There was a drop of silence in the crowd before one person In the crowd starts clapping.

Soon, people began joining to clap and shout the word “Kit-Su-Nes” while hooting and cheering.
Naomi’s tears finally fell and she turned to wrap her arms around Daniel and Koan. Axle was so happy, her grin almost stretched past her face.

“I think it’s time we gave out the medallions so we can celebrate at full moon.” A Shaman said, and after several seconds, the entire place was quiet before Alpha Joseph got up, the medallions, sparkling under the moonlight as he held them in his hands.
Everyone had dazzled, proud looks on their faces as they stared at their ’heroes’ up in awe.
“I want to be like them when I up mummy… then will I get the necklace with the round shiny thingy??” A little girl no less than five tugged on her mother’s hem. She had her chocolate brown hair in pig tails to match her curious, round, cookie brown eyes.
The woman chuckled and raised her up to cradle her In her arms.
“Of course Bibi my darling. Now shush… no one’s talking p>
The girl obediently pursed her lips to listen.
“You have all been brave, relentless, strong, consistent, diligent and agile during these days, and it’s an honor, that the only reason we are all standing here today is because of you all.. ” As he spoke up, Luna Luan confidently got up to help him hold onto the medallions.
“Most importantly, you didn’t give up, and you deserve more than these medallions, but now, they represent the worth of your work. Gold.” She concluded and the crowd behind them clapped, not able to cheer since they were filled with so much emotions which they could barely contain.
Some began to shed a few tears.
Luna Angela felt her heart squeeze as she stared disdainfully at Nancy who stood there with that stupid smile plastered on her ugly face. Just what did she do? Why was she even up there? And why was Alpha Henry looking up at her with pride? This wasn’t right at all!
Well, she tried to calm herself up by remembering that she had already secured her position In the pack with Pamela, her daughter, as the female Alpha, so she had nothing to worry about.
But seeing Nancy accomplish something left a bitter feeling in her heart which she wasn’t able to hide in her expression.
“Is something wrong Luna Angela?” Alpha Kris asked. Luna Tessa turned, along with Luna Ciara and her co-Lunas.
Instinctively, Alpha Henry turned to her as well, and she plastered a fake smile to her face which almost faltered when Alpha Henry asked.
“What? Are you not happy to see your daughter up there p>
“Of course I am. It must… be the wine… I shouldn’t have drank all in one go.” She tried a nervous laugh which died down once the Alphas and Lunas looked away.
’Daughter my foot! That disabled imbecile can never be my daughter. She doesn’t even have a mate yet and it doesn’t look like any man would be interested in her.’ She thought as she stared at the platform, watching as Nancy smiled at something Luna Luan said as she put the medallion around her neck.
Suddenly, her eyes narrowed into slits when Koan just received his medallion from Alpha Joseph and turned to clasp his hand around Nancy’s, giving it a light squeeze.
Nancy smiled back at him with a loving look in her eyes before leaning up to meet his lips with hers, pulling down immediately with a bashful expression.
The entire crowd went wild with murmurs on seeing the scene, which of course, no one failed to miss.

Mirabel wanted to explode. She wanted to climb up there and rake her claws through Nancy’s eyes and tell her every single thing she thought about her, but someone already beat her to it.
