The Alpha swirled his drink. He was a bit shocked. After all, She was the only woman who could muster enough courage to ask him to dance. Infact, she had earned horrified stares from the women down there. Even Stacy looked at her warily.
“No.” He simply replied, not bothering to look up.
“No?” Came her loud cute voice again.
He looked up with cold narrowed eyes.

He was clearly seeing her for the first time as he looked up. For a slight second, his expression softened at her meek and colorful appearance before it hardened again.
Her hair was put up in a style that left her face bare from any hair except for a few trendils which hung from her ear and the sides of her head. Her make up was very light, infact unnoticeable, just the right amount to enhance her eyes, making them look huger and brighter and lipgloss to wet her tiny, cherry colored lips.
She wore an oversized belted top and thigh highed boots. She was in all beautiful. Far more beautiful than the s*** he had come across, but he was adamant about going to the dance floor with someone as mentally ill as she was.
“Why?” She sounded like a bummed child, her lower lip sticking out and he looked back down when the idea of a cute fluffy bunny crossed his mind just looking at her.
What the hell was wrong with him p>
“I don’t want to dance.” He almost sighed, not Interested in chatting with anyone this night.
“But I want to and… I don’t have a partner to dance with p>
“I’m sure there are several young men out there in the crowd who would love to dance with you.” He politely said, raising the cup of wine to his lips.
“But no one is as handsome as you. I want you all to myself She boldly said causing an elder to cough at her shameless words.
Koan almost choked on his drink as he brought down the cup on the table, abruptly.
He glared at Nancy.
“Your name p>
“Nancy,” The girl cheerfully said. “But you can call me p>
“You’re not my type of woman Nancy” He smirked, hoping his words would hurt her like the other women and she would give up on him. “You’re just a kid. Now scram p>
“I’m 18.” She pouted.
He just raised his brows, pretending to be shocked while glancing down at his half finished wine. He’d soon get hungry and when he had had enough food, he’d leave.
“Okay She suddenly leaned closer and he looked up, almost staggering to the floor as he leaned back on his chair when she licked her lips. “W-What type of woman do you like p>
“Trust me…you’re far from being my type. So forget it p>
“Just tell me.” She pestered and he rolled his eyes. “Maybe I can be that type of woman for you…just for a dance. Pleaseeeeee.” She blinked her huge eyes and clasped her hands Infront of her like a child. Her expression was so pitiful and cute, no one could resist her but irritation flashed in his eyes.
“I’m not in that legion of men who don’t hit women. If you annoy me further, I will wring your head out your body.” His voice was kept low just between the two of them and he made sure his words were lethaly put.
However she just blinked and said,
“If I let you do that, will you dance with me p>
A vein almost popped at the side of his forehead and his jaw ticked with inevitable anger.
The grip on his cup hardened and he slowly put it down so he wouldn’t break it.
He glanced up at Nancy and his eyes glazed over her with frustration.
“Why are so close to me by the way? You’re invading my privacy p>
“But if we head to dance floor, this is how close we’re going to get while dancing.” She watched him sigh and bury his face in both palms. “Oh please Mr. Alpha sir…it won’t take long and it’s my birthday today, remember. Just think of it as my birthday gift p>
He snorted.
“Do i look like your friends or family p>
“My friends got me the cake and my dad doesn’t really remember days like this so Her voice trailed off as she spoke and he looked at her in surprise.
Alpha Henry had not wished his daughter a happy birthday and on her 18th year as well? Could he have forgotten? He didn’t even call or give her a gift?
He looked at Nancy who kept talking and talking, no sign of hurt in her eyes as she spoke. Could she just be making things up to get her to dance with him? This kid p>
“Okay.” He suddenly stood up and she jerked up to stand as well at his sudden movement. Even the women who were anticipating the time he would actually come down to the dance floor felt their hearts flip down to their stomachs when he suddenly grabbed Nancy’s arm and pulled her close to him. “I’ll dance with you but on one condition p>
“Wow Mr. Alpha sir. Just one condition? I was thinking you’d never p>
“Yes Nancy. Just one and that’s to shut up p>
She pursed her lips In shock. Shut up? That meant she wasn’t allowed to talk? But that’s impossible. She wanted to talk. With pouty lips, she tailed after Koann not noticing the dark gazes shot at her from several women.
When they got to the dance floor, they just stood there, staring at each other. Nancy made a move and placed her hands on his shoulders and he grumpily placed her hands just above the waist. They began dancing and he was a evidently a good dancer and she enjoyed their moment despite his grumpy look and the fierce look in his eyes.
Suddenly she felt uncomfortable with how he held her and using her two hands, she dragged his hands down so that his hand was suddenly gripping the area underneath her a**. Koan’s eyes finally widened.
