Rania was taken aback by the accusation in the king’s voice. Her throat closed on her, she couldn’t make a sound. She noticed this happened countless times whenever she was under pressure and her anxiety got the best of her
However, the king didn’t understand that, and thought her silence was her admitting that she wanted to be with Caden again. This spiked the rage within the king. He wanted to snap the woman before his eyes.
The temptation was getting stronger when Rania didn’t say anything.
“Scram!” The king lost his temper, and he watched how dread filled her beautiful eyes, as she scrambled out of the bed, and rushed toward the door.
She was so scared of him, she didn’t even
pare a second glance at him.
When Rania was outside of the bed. closed the door behind her, she heard the angry roar from inside and things were being
destroyed, shattered glasses and whatnot.
Rania didn’t stop to listen, she ran down the hall to get as far away from the mad king. She was scared of him. A rejection from him would be nice, so she wouldn’t need to see him again.
The king strong aura was suffocating, and now she could see why he was called as the Mad King. If Rania were inside the room, she was surę, he would beat her up so badly.
The king should be her second chance mate; something that a shifter rarely got. He should be Rania’s chance to live a normal life, away from the abused in this pack, but who would have thought that her second chance mate was worse than the previous one.
“Selene, what did I do wrong? Why did you punish me like this?” Rania closed the door behind her back and slid down to sit on the cold floor, inside her tiny bedroom.

And when Rania was dealing with the turmoil inside of her, she heard a knock on the door, which jolted her.
Rania scrambled to her feet when the door was pushed opened, and Caden entered the room with a triumphant smirk when he saw the look on Rania’s face.
It was evident that she had been crying. She was still crying, as tears streamed down her face, but she didn’t say anything, and stared at Caden, as if she wanted to kill him, which only amused the alpha even more.

Pania didn’t have lock in her bedroom, because there was one time, when Rania locked Caden out, the alpha tore down the entire door, and left her room without door for a week, as a punishment for her.
After that, Rania had never had a lock installed in er bedroom again.
“I know that you are hurt by the king’s rejection,” Caden said, thinking the king had rejected her after he learned about the false rumor that he created. “Don’t worry, you still have me. I told you, right? I will not let you go p>
Because Rania refused to go to Caden, the alpha crossed the room in two steps to approach her. He yanked her hand harshly, until her body crashed against him, and cupped her face.
Caden saw the mark on her neck, still fresh and bleeding, the sight of it made him angry,
“So, he had not yet rejected you, huh?” If you were rejected after you were marked, then the mark would be disappeared, the fact that the king’s mark was still there, it meant the rejection had not yet happened.
Rania gritted her teeth. She breathed heavily, the proximity between them always made her want to vomit. She hated his hands on her. she hated the way he talked to her.
Caden didn’t think Rania was serious when she said that she didn’t feel anything for him, aside from disgust, because in his mind, the hond between them was still there, even with the rejection, since he was still infatuated with her.

“That’s okay… you don’t need to cry over him. I am still here.” Caden lifted her body and laid her down on the bed.

At this point, Ranai had shut down. She had this blank look on her face, as if she was somewhere else. She was thinking that she was not there.
However, Caden couldn’t care less about her mental state, as he took off her dress. She was still wearing the same omega uniform from the previous day. Her scent altered a bit, which annoyed Caden, but he had urgent business with her.
He had been aching to be inside her.
As long as Caden didn’t touch the mark on her neck, he would be fine, the king wouldn’t feel the betrayal from Rania, and even if he knew, Caden could twist the story.
After all, the king knew that Rania was his whore, who begged him to fuck her.
“I miss you,” Caden said, as he started to take off his shirt and unzipped his pants hastily. “I will not let you go to that Mad King. You will be fine here.” Caden licked her cheek, while Rania stared at the ceiling.
This was not the first time Rania acted like this, thus it didn’t bother Caden for her lack of response. He lifted her leg, pushed himself inside of her, as he grunted blissfully.
“Yes, I miss this … ” Caden thrusted inside her with vigor, the bed was squeaking with his every movement. Caden cupped her breast, and squeezed it a little bit hard, as Rania grimaced, which elated the alpha.
