Chapter 59
“What?” Maximus looked like he wanted to kill someone when he learned that Eiten had taken Rania away to the shopping center. Who allowed him to leave with her p>
Maximus tried to suppress his anger, he closed his eyes, but the aura that he emanated was really suffocating, and this made the poor warrior trembled in fear for his life.
However, when Maximus spoke again, he only told the warrior to leave, which he obliged quickly. It almost looked like he was flying when he tried to escape the alpha’s domineering presence.
On the other hand, Maximus didn’t know what else he had to say. He felt like he wanted to beat Eiten up again, but it was not possible to do. Technically, he didn’t do anything wrong. He didn’t specifically tell him not to bring Rania away.
He was the one, who had sent him to her, so she could open up more to him, and he knew what actually happened.
Eiten could say this was part of his method, and Maximus couldn’t have a say in it, since his instruction was not clear.
“Damn it.” Maximus then went to Rania’s bedroom. It had been an hour since they left, and based on what the warrior said, Eiten took Rania for dress shopping.
When Maximus entered Rania’s bedroom, he went straight to the walk in closet, and what he witnessed there was the same like what Eiten had seen. It was so bare. There was not even a single clothes on the racks.
But, Maximus found a bag at the corner of this room. It looked pathetic, hiding at the corner, but it reminded him of Rania. The backpack was the same like her.
Whenever he was with her, it felt like she wanted to disappear. She wanted no one to recognize her, and this shred of fact jolted him.
He looked around the room, and realized what he had done wrong. He didn’t pay attention to her. He didn’t even realize that she lacked of clothes, but Eiten did, and this pissed him off.
He walked out, and then sat down on the edge of the bed, waiting for Rania to return, and it felt like eternity.
Maximus closed his eyes to rein his anger. He didn’t want to lash out like the last time. He trusted his not to do anything shady, even if Rania tried to do something with him.

The thought of Rania tried to get Eiten made his blood boiled with rage.
Rania was happy.
She didn’t think she would ever feel this feeling, but she did happy. This was an incredible feeling. She couldn’t remember when the last time she felt this happy.
“You only said that because you can’t taste it,” Eiten said, he was annoyed beyond word with Rania, while she laughed at his exasperated expression.
“No. That’s the weirdest thing I have ever eaten,” Rania insisted, simply because she wanted to annoy the royal gamma, she liked teasing him.
In a way, it felt liberating.
“Heaven! You are so damn annoying p>
This was the first time Rania felt comfortable when someone was irritated with her, because she knew this was only a playful banter.
The royal gamma was indeed gifted with social skill, where he could make anyone feel comfortable around him.
Currently, they were talking about ice cream. Rania tried it, and she was sure she didn’t like it.
When she was little, her father bought one for her, but she couldn’t remember the taste, or her feeling when she ate that.
However, when Eiten bought one for her, she was sure she didn’t like it. The texture felt so weird in her mouth. It felt like she was eating a cotton. There was no taste, of course, but the way it melted in her mouth… ugh.
Rania hated the texture. She wouldn’t eat anything like that again, but Eiten was offended, because ice cream was his favorite dessert, and he took offense for her opinion. Of course, all of this was not that deep.
Eiten made a face. “I will take you to try pudding later p>
This time it was Rania, who made a face, because she had eaten pudding several times, but that was because she didn’t have anything to eat back in the Black Stone pack. She hated the texture as well.
“No, thanks p>
They joke some more, as they walked in the corridor, while two warriors followed them from behind with a lot of clothes that they bought today.
At first, Rania freaked out because Eiten would buy a lot of clothes. This was even more than she had when her father was still paying attention to her.
However, Eiten said this was not enough, since they needed to fill her walk in closet, and stop making it looked so sad with only her backpack.
Rania refused vehemently, but in the end, Eiten tricked her. He told her that the money would come from Maximus, so this was the best way for her to get revenge.
The royal gamma knew his way around words, which made it sound like something fun to do, which made Rania reluctantly agreed. Not to mention Eiten also badmouthed Maximus.
Not to the insulting degree, but it sounded more like he vented out his annoyance toward the king because he
gave him so much assignments.
Rania liked it when Eiten did that, since she couldn’t do it openly. Of course, their grievances were different.
“Wait here.” Eiten said all of sudden, as he stopped walking. He grabbed her hand, before both of them could enter her bedroom.
“What happened?” Rania was confused.
“Stay here, okay?” Eiten looked at ease, he was even smiling lightly, but Rania sensed there was something
wrong.
“Why?” Rania looked horrified.
She couldn’t sense Maximus’s scent, since she didn’t have the shifter’s ability, but Eiten did. And he knew the king was waiting for her inside.
He didn’t want him to meet with Rania without an explanation from him. More so, Eiten didn’t know what kind of mood Maximus had right now. He could lash out like the last time, and he didn’t want to put his progress with Rania spiraling downward because of that.
After Eiten made sure Rania would stay outside of the bedroom, he entered and found Maximus was sitting on the edge of the bed. He looked calm enough, but still, Eiten had to have a talk with him before he let Rania
“Where is she?” Maximus asked. He glanced over Eiten’s shoulder, but Rania didn’t follow him into the room. He knew that she was nearby, he could smell her scent even before they reached the door.
“She is right outside of the door.” Eiten then sat down on a single sofa in front of Maximus. “Please, if you can’t rein your anger, it will be best not to meet with her. I have worked so hard to make her relax, so she can open up a little bit more, but if you keep doing the same shit, I don’t think I can reach her and get the truth
