“You’re right but unfortunately, we’ve tried. All Jake and I do is bicker. He doesn’t have the time to teach me, so he rushes me and that only ends one way. But it’s okay I understand how busy he is p>
“He should never be too busy to teach his Luna her duties. This pack is as much yours as it is his. The sooner you realise that the better p>
I didn’t know what to say back but I was glad when the patio doors opened and the man in questioned made an appearance.
“I didn’t realise you both were out here”. He frowned.
“I need to have a conversation with you but later”. Evelyn got to her feet. “Leah sweetheart, it was a pleasure as always”. She dropped a kiss on Jakes cheek before making her way back inside.

“So, you know my dad’s going home tonight and I start college in a few weeks?”. I chewed the inside of my cheek. He knew I planned to go visit but I wasn’t sure what his reaction was going to be to me leaving tonight.
It wasn’t planned; it was fast and spontaneous.

“I’m going to spend the next few weeks with him and I’m leaving tonight p>
“What?”. He made a face. “You’re leaving p>

“No”. He shook his head. “You can’t leave now. I know you planned to visit babe, but I didn’t expect it to be in the next few hours p>
“I need to do this”. I didn’t want an argument over this but quite frankly he couldn’t tell me what to do. Me going wasn’t his decision to make. He knew how much I wanted to meet my family.

That was it? That’s all he was going to say? I couldn’t read him, and I hated it. I was racking my brain trying to think of what to say next.
“Would you want to stop me?”. I asked.
“I don’t like being away from you. I like you here where I know you’re safe p>

“I get why you want to do this but why now, why so soon p>
“Because I need to figure out who I am and where I came from. I’m sick of feeling like I don’t belong. I’m sick of feeling invisible around the pack. I want to embrace the fact that I’m a wolf and right now I can’t”. I let out a deep breath. “I can’t do that here and I have no idea why p>
